“PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
“I wish to thank, in particular, Mr. Hambleton for valuable assistance and cooperation in Washington – Mr. Hoyt for valuable assistance and advice in handling the Dr. von Bauer situation and the Miami airport situation – * * *.”

“5. von Bauer Situation: Negotiations underway with SCADTA interests, looking to the joint operation of certain ‘key’ routes on the northern coast of South America and in the Canal Zone, and exclusive mutual con-tacts for handling through traffic in that section of the world.”

“The President thereupon described further negotiation had with interests now controlling the SCADTA Company in Havana, in which they approved in general but subject to the support of the U.S. Department of State, the following plan:
1. The joint development of a connecting airline between Turbo, Colombia and Colon, Canal Zone;
2. The joint exploitation of commercial aviation in Venezuela.”
